Gallery Programme

Exhibitions

At Origin has kept one wall — then another — devoted to local and visiting artists since opening our doors in Leslieville. The gallery is not a separate room; it is woven into the fabric of the bar itself. You order at the counter, find a seat, and find yourself in the company of painting, photography, or works on paper you were not expecting to encounter that morning.

We rotate exhibitions monthly, giving space to established Toronto artists and first solo shows alike. The common thread is intention — each artist chosen because their work rewards the kind of slow looking that a good cup of coffee makes possible. Some are returning friends; others we are meeting for the first time. All of them make the room better.

There are no velvet ropes here, no admission fee. You are welcome to sit with the work for as long as your cup lasts. If something moves you, the artist’s contact is always on the door. Below: the full programme in reverse chronological order.
